The East Midlands Boardroom

STRAIGHT-TALKING BUSINESS CONVERSATIONS WITH PEOPLE WHO GET IT.

The East Midlands Boardroom is a trusted space where serious business owners come to:

  • Have honest conversations about business, performance and the challenges that don’t get discussed in public
  • Build relationships with people who have done something meaningful and can add to the conversation
  • Hear real, unfiltered stories from entrepreneurs who have been through it. The highs, the lows and the lessons
  • Shape the room alongside a small group of Associate Partners who hold the standard

If you’ve outgrown the average networking event this is the room you’ve been looking for.

We’re not here to “network.”

We’re here to be in the right room, with the right people, over time.

High-Calibre. Low-Ego. Invitation-Only.

It is not about how many people are in the room. It is about who is in the room. Every guest is personally invited and must meet a clear standard:

  1. Business owner with a minimum £2m turnover up to £80m (currently averaging at £30m)
  2. Has built something of substance and can add to the conversation
  3. The right fit in terms of experience, credibility and attitude
  • No selling in the room
  • No forced introductions
  • No compromising on who can attend

We are comfortable saying no to people who are not right. Protecting the room matters more than filling it.

Every conversation is intentional. Every guest is relevant.

The Events Calendar

Each event is curated with care. Every guest is invited for who they are, what they bring, and the value they offer others.

Each event features a fireside conversation focused on real experience, not theory. Speakers come from within the network wherever possible. Topics are shaped by the Associate Partners and agreed as a group.

Every event is different. The standard never is.

Every guest is new.
Every introduction creates opportunity.

What Gets Discussed

The fireside conversations focus on real experience. Topics are confirmed with the Associate Partners as a group. Current areas under discussion include:

  • Scaling from £2m to £20m+
  • Building a business that operates without you
  • Becoming investment-ready
  • Management buyouts and exits
  • Leadership evolution and building teams that perform
  • Navigating pressure and uncertainty
  • The realities behind the headline numbers

Become an Associate Partners

The Boardroom is shaped by a small group of Associate Partners. These are the people who set the tone, decide who comes in, and protect the standard of the room.

As an Associate Partner you:

  1. Help decide who is invited into the room
  2. Influence the quality and direction of each event
  3. Meet before and after each event to shape and refine it

There is mutual responsibility in this. Everyone contributes. Everyone is selective. Everyone protects what is being built.
